Who do you live for? Is it for yourself, your family, your friends, or your boyfriend? Who do you try to impress the most? I think the answer should be God! We need to SEEK Him in all that we do and strive to please Him.
Life is a constant struggle--against disease, evil, danger,ect-- and it can be hard to get through. When we SEEK God, He will provide us with everything that we need to make it through this life--remember that that isn't always what we think of as good; we need turmoil and pain to GROW.
Even believing in God we will face pain, and struggle, but He will make sure we are taken care of! If we SEEK God, we will be bombarded with GOOD! I'm not saying life will be easy or anything, but God will give us good feelings, thoughts, relationships and a whole lot of LOVE! He will put us through struggles, but He will also ensure that there is a GOOD outcome!

This is all about turning towards God, SEEKING Him! When we turn away from our own selfish dreams, goals, and desires and do what God wants, we will be rewarded. This isn't some "become rich and famous now" scheme. That's not the type of reward I'm talking about. It means that you will be filled with joy and happiness and you will have someone to live for! When you SEEK God, be prepared to be INTERNALLY REWARDED.
SEEK God in all you do. Make your life about Him and not about you!
You hit the spot with this post! I have been trying very hard lately to live as He wants me to live and I am trying to teach this to my children as well. My kids are having a really hard time putting faith in God as they have been going through so many struggles lately... But I keep reminding them that this is the time that they NEED to put their faith in God. With Him anything is possible!

DeleteI understand that it can be extremely hard to put faith in God--especially at a young age-- when going through hard times. From personal experience I know how difficult it can be.
This April, a good friend of mine committed suicide. It was tragic and really upset me. Throughout the terrible times that followed, God was with me. Without Him, the whole experience would've been unbearable. Also, through this tragedy, God strengthened me and showed me what He wants me to do with my life. He managed to bring GOOD from the terrible!
Anyway, the point of that tangent was just to show that God has worked through me. I've been in tough situations,and although I don't know what you're going through, I do know that with God it is will get BETTER.
I hope and I will be praying that you and your family will keep the faith. Depend on God and He will bring you through. You can and will survive this!

ReplyDelete....I know you mean it right and well, but....you know that dreams are not always selfish ;) in fact, dreaming is a great thing. If somebody wants to be rich and famous, it's not neccessarly a bad thing. Sure, you should not want be only rich because of the money, and be only famous because of the fame. In my opinion - when you have a hobby, when you are really good at it - (for example a hockey player, football players, singer, artist, whatever) and you are getting better at it and with course of time became famous, it's not a bad thing. I think it's the exact opposite. I believe that God wants us to shine bright and be the best we can be. I believe that God wants us to be successful in everything we do.
What really matters, in my opinion of course, is the attitude. If we're really thankfull for all of that. If we live in love. I think that if a person believe in God, in the loving God, the God who wants you to do well, if a person lives truly in love, it can't never be a wrong direction, you can't go wrong. I believe that love is always from God. Wheather it's love for girl, for family, etc. I believe that God speaks with a language of love, and hope. I even think that love gets you closer to God. If you feel love, I believe that love will get you closer to God and will direct your steps the right way. not sure if I can use that verse here, but I think yes.... 'For God is love' .....have a nice day.
